Thankful Thursday #12-Praising God!

I want to thank and praise the Lord for the strength and favors He has given me. I also want to thank God for giving me the opportunity to write again here and join this meme "Thankful Thursday" which I am very thankful of because I got a chance to share my piece of testimony.


I have been busy this past few months from my job, school and online ministry. I don't even get a chance to go home since January this year. Though my mom and dad visited me here once in a while but then I missed our place and the fellowship that we have there.


Just today I decided that I will go home to visit our homeland. God set everything in order as far as my leave of absence approval at school and at my job. Indeed God is so good:)


I am very excited to go home this weekend and spend time with my family, relatives and friends that I really love most. It's been so hard to be away all the time with them but God gives me strength to press on and continue to do things for my family and for His glory.

Thankful Thursday #11- My Nanay

 

Exodus 20:12

"Honor your father and mother. Then you will live a long, full life in the land the LORD your God will give you."
 
This verse really tell us that we should not only respect our parents but it is written to honor them. I am blessed that I am honoring and respecting my "Nanay" as what we used to call our mother. I am so thankful for her life and for the care she have given to us. I know bearing 12 children was not easy. But she endures all the hardship and give us unconditional love and care. She is a very strong woman but I saw her so weak at times. She is not perfect I know but shes one of the best mother in the whole world. I am so proud to have her and to be her child. Shes very amazing because she teaches us a lot. I can still remember her dreams for us and everything she says when I was a child. Shes one of my bestfriend that I could tell secrets to her. Shes very down to earth and very loving. I am so thankful to God that he has given me a mother like her. So wonderful and great mother. She even visited me here always and during my birthdays shes always around. She prepare foods when shes with me she pampers us like the old things she does. Shes not so strict but she wanted us to do only good. She don't tolerate wrong because she believes wrong is never been right. I love her so much and I will always be. Thanking God for having her as my Nanay:)

Thankful Thursday #10- Semestral break

 I am thanking God for today is the day that I will be giving final examination to my students. As a part time instructor I was pleased that this semester will about to end. I am looking forwad for the semestral break. I hope and pray that I can have my 2 weeks off a memorable one:) But I doubt it as I need to compute grades and submit the needed requirements for this semester. But then I really thanked God for sustaining me and for given me wisdom to teach as it is my first time to be an instructor as part time. I learned a lot and continually learning from the things I shared to the students and for sharing what I learn to them. God is indeed so good for giving me the oppotunity to teach them not only for their academic lessons but to be a blessing to them and makes a difference as they noticed that even without first telling them I am a Christian they discern that I am:). They see Christ in me and thanking God for being a light that they may follow my deeds. I am also thankful for my students that they show me respect even some of them is older than me but then they give the due respect to me. A wonderful experience to keep and sweet memories being with them. So thankful of hearing them say thank you for sharing to them and for the learnings they got from me. Indeed God is so awesome. 

Thankful Thursday #9- Rejoicing in the midst of a busy week

Oh my I was sooooo busy this past few days. I had a lot of things need to be accomplished and don't know what to do first. But I am thanking God for His wisdom and for sustaining me to finished all the given task. Every first week of the month I need to change the images and videos of the Christian website I am connected with which is www.ppatw.com.  It is a joy to be part of this growing website for the glory of God.

After I changed all the images and the videos of the  first 12 pages of the website I started working with the icons for the new conference and chatroom that we just bought for the site.

Plus I am busy with my full time job and thanking that I can still work on some stuff at work and I am thankful for my part time for continually helping me with my needs and teaching me a lot of things as well.

Above all I am thanking God for being so good in my life. He deserved praises and thanksgiving!!! Indeed it is a joy to served our awesome Father!!!

Thankful Thursday #8-My new apartment

  

Psalm 100:1-5
Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanks  and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

 

I am so thankful to God for today because it is the day  that we moved out to another apartment. It is now bigger compare to the one we have before. It is lovely and cute but wait the color of the wall paint is orange wished it was green. Hehehe...Thanking God for all His favors and His provision for making this possible. The owner give us discount of the original price and she even cut down the down payment and the deposits. Isn't God is so good? Yes He really is so good. That's why I am shouting for joy and worshiping God with gladness because He is so good in our life. I am praising God for taking care of us. His grace, mercy and love endures forever and indeed His faithfulness continues through all generations.
  

Thankful Thursday #7-Preaching His Word!

 

I am thankful to God for giving me an opportunity to stand before the congregation of our Church last night and to be His mouthpiece. I am so thankful to the Almighty for giving me strength and helping me deliver His word. Indeed God assures me that there is nothing to be fear.  Thanking Him for His annointing and His wisdom that poured out in me. Indeed God is so great and so awesome!

I ended my message last night  with a quote from a Christian book that I read: “The nature of salvation, the character of God, the declarations of His word, the design of redemption all concern to prove that holiness is absolutely and dispensable, so that whatever we may be, or whatever we may have, if we are not holy, we are not the children of God, not the heirs of King’s kingdom.”

 

Thankful Thursday #6- Turning 28



Year 2010, this is the year where the 1982 babies like me turn 28.Tomorrow I am officially embracing my own "another special years" of existence here on earth. First I just want to extend my gratitude to God, to my loving family, friends, church mates and to the man I love for being so supportive to me and for being always there even if I’m far away from home....I’m getting dramatic here...I just want to say thank you for everyone!!! My life will not be as colorful and as meaningful without them in this entire world.



I can share some of my thoughts about turning 28. When I was young and I thought I’d never get to live past the age of 18. I also thought then that those in their 20's were so mature and responsible already. It was difficult to see myself growing into something like them, even at this stage of my life I think I’ll never grow into something like them. While I’m aware that I’m expected to carry out certain responsibilities and behave accordingly and I don't see myself doing things like the rest does.


While I’m willing to let go of my childish tendencies and I cannot see myself giving up my child-like qualities but at times I really need to. I want to run around and pursue thrills and keep being inspired and be forever curious about the things around me and enjoy other things for the glory of God. I want my life to be meaningful and have direction. I thanked God He had backed me up. I am enjoying my life right now no worries, no hassles for being single at this point of my life. But then I am also using this time to think clearly about the options. It is the time to think about responsibilities and duties as a daughter, a sister and a friend. On this phase of my life I know there is one thing out there that I’d like to do and I meant to do. It is running the race until I see Jesus face to face.


Yes, there’s no rush, I am enjoying my life by being in love with the Lord, and the important thing is to live and serving God and living for His glory. Turning 28 is a time for contemplation. It is also a time for celebration. So I really wanted to live a life with holiness and righteousness through Christ.

Thankful Thursday #5-Thank you Lord for everything

I took Computer of Engineering simply because I love Computers. I  never imagine myself working in an 8 hour job that all you need to do is just simply sitting the whole day in the cold office waiting for your clients to come in. I wanted adventure and fun before and even wanted to explore more. But sometimes what you want is not what will happen to us.God has always the best plan and even better plan for all of us. When I started working as a regular employee of a private company I was blessed with it and I know God give this job to me for so many reasons and purpose. This work is not in line with my course but I learned to love it in the long run. Now i am working being a regular employee for more than two years. I am so thankful to God that he give me a work though it was not in line with what course ive finished but still i love it.
I wasn't expected to teach part time while doing a regular job but God also give me an opportunity to teach. I never imagine myself to teach  never in my wild dream. But here I am teaching part time but what I am thankful to God most is not the compensation that I get but the learning and the joy to rediscover again my favorite,the computer:) Sharing things about computers to my students will also gives me learning and re discovering things more about it and refreshing what I learned when I was still in college. I am so thankful to God for this another job and also for the mid term had past that He sustains me and given me wisdom. I was so busy this whole week making grades. Not a good idea at first for me because I am not used to compute grades but then God helped me and give me more strength to do  it.

I also thanked God for giving me an opportunity to be a part of a Christian website (www.ppatw.com). Here we are being used to reach people online and encourage them and shared to them how great God is and tell the gospel to those who don't know him yet. For God's glory.

I am also thankful for my Blessed Hope family for accepting me as your friend and sister in the Lord. In you I found where I belong and thank you for the care:)

I am also thankful for my family. They are so dear to me;)

I am forever thankful to God for everything he had done in my life. For sustaining me and for keeping me. He never given up on me. He never forskaen me. He is so faithful at all times even at times I am not. He still loves me even at times I am too occupied and He is just waiting for me and still caring and loving all the time that I wasn't. Thank you Lord for never giving up on me. I am not perfect but you make me worthy to be your children. Thank you for chosen me to be your child, father. You always there for me when I needed you most. Your my bestfriend, my everything. You deserve praises and thanksgiving!!!

Thankful Thursday #4- Bro. Gary is going home today!

I wanted to say thank you for praying my friend Bro. Gary he is now feeling better and improving to his way to full recovery. Indeed God truly sustains and is forever faithful and awesome.Getting a great news that Bro. Gary was discharged from the hospital and is now home made us glad. Praise God! I chatted him earlier and he was overjoyed knowing many prayed for him. He wanted me to blessed those people who prayed and he wanted to thank them as well. So guys thank you for all your prayers!The Lord is so good and his grace and mercy endures forever. We wanna say thank you once again for all the prayers and thanking the most high for healing our dear friend and for hearing our prayers. Great is the Lord!

Thankful Thursday #2- Gave Praise to God

This verse wants us to understand how important it is for us to really give thanks to the Lord. As we lift our heart and our thoughts to our awesome God in gratitude this thanksgiving we are reminded of all the good things and all the blessing that God has given to us each day. God deserves our praise and thanksgiving. Everyday we should worship and praise the Lord for being so awesome and for being so wonderful in our life. He deserve all our praises!!!

Thankful Thursday #1-My precious family

I am thankful to God for having my family. They are my inspiration and I love them very much. This picture was taken last Christmas 2005. Five years had past and looking forward for our next reunion in Christmas this year. We should have another family picture and compare how we look like now. I'm sure a lot of changes especially the weights and the size.Hehehe... I love my family so much.Thank you Lord for giving me a wonderful family.

Whew This song really affects me and it always made me cry specially now that I am hurting inside. It's so hard to deal with life but I know God is always there to comfort me and He will never let me go no matter what happen. I am thankful for our awesome God for his righteousness. Let's worship him in any situation we are into either good or bad.He deserve to be praise!
