WFW #5- A prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective

I choose this picture of a praying hand and put a verse on it about prayer as well. Simply because we have a friend named Bro.Gary who is in the hospital right now and I want you to pray for him with me. Praying for someone is an opportunity.

Heavenly Father,

I come before you, lifting up Bro. Gary. You know him so much better than I do and you know his situation right now and what sickness and burden he carries. You also know what is in his heart right now Lord, please be with him always and working in his life. Let your will be done in Bro Gary's life Lord. if there is sin that needs to be confessed and forgiven, please help him Lord to see his need and let him confess it.
Father God, i pray for Bro. Gary because his a an incredible man and in your word it says that i should pray for his healing and you said Lord that ask and I will give.I have faith in you to heal Bro. Gary oh God. but I also trust in the plan you have for his life. Lord, I don't always understand your ways, and why my friend has to suffer, but I trust you. I ask that you look with mercy and grace toward my friend. Nourish his spirit and soul in this time of suffering and comfort him with your presence. Let my friend know you are there with him through this difficulty. And may you be glorified in his life and also in mine.

Amen

Daily Devotion #2- Running the race

 Scripture: Philippians 3

I learned on this chapter that there is righteousness provided for us in Jesus Christ, and it is complete and perfect righteousness. To benefit this righteousness that God provided for us is to trust the Lord and nothing else not ourselves but to God. Paul  here show righteousness through Jesus Christ by his willingness to suffer for the Lord. God is telling me that there will be a time that we will come to suffer and persecuted but we really need to run the race until we see his face to face. By never stop believing God and pressing on forward as fast as we can looking for the goal to win the heavenly prize.Through Christ we can attain the prize because he is the only way to heaven. We just need to crucify ourselves daily and continually dying to sin and glorifying him and honoring him in everything we do. We need to stand firm and apply all theses things that we learn from the living word of God to see transformation in our life as we all know that we are still in the molding process and God is continually polishing us.We just need a teachable and obedient heart.

My favorite verse for the day is from Phil 3:14 "I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus".
Be blessed everyone!!!

Daily Devotion #1- Imitating Christ Humility

Scripture: Philippians 2

Now I am starting to share my daily reading and reflections. I do read one Chapter of the New Testament in the morning and 1 Chapter of the old Testament during night. I am praying to God to give me strength and more passion to do my devotion and may this daily reading his words and instruction will guide me and apply it to my life and to draw more closer to him and intimately seek his face. I also pray that God will continue to give me wisdom, knowledge and understanding to fully understand his living word. Today I read letter to the Philippians Chapter 2. I wanna share what is God is telling me and what I learn from this and also what is my favorite verse. I love Philippians 2:3 "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves" This is very true and we should do, sometimes we are  too proud of ourselves and claim the glory that should be for God. Sometimes we think that we are really better than others and no one can beat us up. But in this chapter I learned to be more humble and meek like Jesus that He chooses to live a very simple ways when He was still in human likeness. Jesus is the ultiamte example of being a humble man that he even obeyed God to die on that cross for us even on that way he really humbled himself therefore God exalted him in the most highest place and gave him a name above every name. The life of Jesus was a complete example of being humble and Paul urged us to be Christ's imitator. He wanted us to imitate Christ's humility.  I learned on this chapter that we should look not only for our own interest but also to the interest of others. Let's learn to be humble in that way God will honor that and lift us up and he will love that we are humble and meek.

WFW #4- God's love is overflowing

We cannot describe how God loves us because his love is unfathomable. God's love for you extends far beyond the bounds of human comprehension. Because God's love for you is overflowing and it never ends.
