Daily Devotion #1- Imitating Christ Humility

Scripture: Philippians 2

Now I am starting to share my daily reading and reflections. I do read one Chapter of the New Testament in the morning and 1 Chapter of the old Testament during night. I am praying to God to give me strength and more passion to do my devotion and may this daily reading his words and instruction will guide me and apply it to my life and to draw more closer to him and intimately seek his face. I also pray that God will continue to give me wisdom, knowledge and understanding to fully understand his living word. Today I read letter to the Philippians Chapter 2. I wanna share what is God is telling me and what I learn from this and also what is my favorite verse. I love Philippians 2:3 "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves" This is very true and we should do, sometimes we are  too proud of ourselves and claim the glory that should be for God. Sometimes we think that we are really better than others and no one can beat us up. But in this chapter I learned to be more humble and meek like Jesus that He chooses to live a very simple ways when He was still in human likeness. Jesus is the ultiamte example of being a humble man that he even obeyed God to die on that cross for us even on that way he really humbled himself therefore God exalted him in the most highest place and gave him a name above every name. The life of Jesus was a complete example of being humble and Paul urged us to be Christ's imitator. He wanted us to imitate Christ's humility.  I learned on this chapter that we should look not only for our own interest but also to the interest of others. Let's learn to be humble in that way God will honor that and lift us up and he will love that we are humble and meek.
